Sushma started her career in 1994 with APTECH, an Indian IT training major and went on to head their six training centres in fast paced Mumbai.

Joining Mafatlal Consultancy Services, one of India's Top 3 IT companies, in the Training Division, she went on to lead the International Recruitment and Outsourcing, division which selected, trained and placed over 300 IT engineers in the US, during 1999-2002. Sushma also started helping in her uncle's engineering exports business.

An experienced hand at Finding, Skilling and Training people, Sushma found her calling in transforming ordinary people into sought after Resources with great careers and set up Resources9 in March 2004.

Sushma has had a distinguished career serving large and complex global clients and has been sought after as an administrator by several Industry organisations. She was installed as the Secretary and Treasurer, pro bono, for the Film foundation of India and headed it for 6 years as its administrator, helping over 70 producers market their films around the world, as well as organising film festivals in India, in aid of abandoned seniors from the fields of creative arts and crafts.

Her perseverance and calm attitude coupled with her trademark polite demeanour has catapulted her into one of the most celebrated woman entrepreneurs in India. She always extolls the pain and pleasure of entrepreneurship as something that pushed her into co founding India's largest Not for Profit Initiative for Small and Medium Business with Ad Guru Prahlad Kakar and venture expert, Vinod Kumar.

The extra effort for always delivering more than whats committed & solving the most complex problems, faced by her clients, has seen her dedication and ingenuity, highly appreciated by each of her associates, partners and clients.

With her over two decades of rich global industry experience, Sushma is now on the Board of several Government Agencies, including the National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs, The National Board of the Ministry of MSME of the Government of India, The B20 SME Task Force, of the G20 Nations and many other committees and has various advisory roles with Governmental agencies, Institutions and MNCs.

You ask her, what her passion is, and you will hear her talking about the satisfaction of guiding, hand holding and transforming the lives of the down trodden, as the ultimate form of happiness and inner peace. However, in the next breath she will talk about the welfare of animals as the next best way to eternal happiness.
